Privacy policy

Who processes the data
For the personal data of an account, the operator is RACEON. Questions and requests go to support@raceon.am. This policy is written for the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data. It says what we store and what you can ask. It is not a substitute for reading the law.
What we store
When you create an account we store the email and, if you set a password, only a hash of it, not the password. Sign-in with Google gives us the email and an identifier from Google. The profile can hold a username, display name, bio, avatar, gender, favorite team and favorite driver. Gender stays hidden until you choose to show it. Settings store the language, time zone and who may see the profile. A session stores when it was last used, which client opened it and the IP address. The same IP can appear in the admin log when a team member changes something. We do not sell this data.
Why
We use the data to create and protect the account, to show the profile the way you set it, to send service email (confirmation, password, email change, deletion) and to keep the site safe from abuse. The grounds are your consent at registration, the need to provide the service you asked for, and the protection of the account.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are required to keep you signed in and to reject a form sent from another site. The session cookie cannot be read by page scripts. It lasts as long as the session: 7 days, 30 days if you asked the site to remember you, and 90 days in the mobile apps. A Google sign-in also sets a cookie for about ten minutes, only to finish that sign-in. We do not use analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner. If that changes, this page will say so first.
Who else receives it
Google, if you sign in with Google, under the terms of Google. The service that delivers our email sees the address and the message. The servers that run RACEON may stand outside Armenia: that transfer is what makes the site available to you. We do not pass the data on for advertising.
How long
The account stays while you use it. Sessions last until they expire or you end them. Deleting the account in account settings signs you out everywhere. Signing in again within 30 days restores the account. After 30 days the email is replaced, the password and the profile are removed, and the Google link is dropped. A row may remain so that something you published is not left without an author.
Your rights
You can ask what we store, correct it, delete it and withdraw the consent you gave at registration. Profile fields are edited in the settings. Deletion of the account is described above. Other requests go to support@raceon.am. You can also apply to the authorized body of the Republic of Armenia for the protection of personal data.
How we protect it
The password is stored only as a hash. The session cookie is not available to scripts on the page. Access to the admin panel is limited by role.
RACEON is an independent project and is not connected with Formula 1, the FIA or the teams.
